Another friend who reads mainstream comics always says he doesn’t understand my book. I tell him in jest. “You won’t understand it because you’re not a Three Kingdoms fan. Ravages exists solely to service a portion of the readers. This book is like the bass guitar section of a music band – can’t work without it even if it doesn’t stand out.” He then asked me what a bass guitar is. I introduced him to a North European heavy metal band. After that he doesn’t even buy the book anymore.
