chapter 591 (magazine-syndication, not final)

Since we parted ways,
(if not for the wordplay at the end, this can also be interpreted as “don’t come” without context)

just hope everything is all right.
(“just hope everything no different”)

[?]: Spare me, hero, please! I, I really don’t know anything!

[?]: Those far side villagers who fled are all here,
(not sure whether it’s “back/southern village”, or “rear village”)

[?]: except for the Jiang family.
(“too bad no Jiang family members”)

chapter 591 Duty-bound To Never Turn Back

[?]: I, I don’t know…

[Fan Shuo]: A mother and her son, who should be about ten years old.
{Fan Shuo}

[?]: I was only tasked to round up the villagers. Someone else took over after that!

[?]: Shit, somebody snuck in!

[?]: Weren’t you told to guard this place well?

{stab~}

[?]: Those women are for serving the commanding officers,
[?]: but looks like you all haven’t passed on the order to the Qiang men?

More down below…

[?]: Hurry up, don’t get lost!

{stab~ stab~}

[?]: They’re finished off. We’ll keep watch here!
[?]: We heard there are Qiang men around, sir, you should go!

[?]: One, two,

{slam~}

[Wang Yi]: Die, die!

[Zhao Ang]: Sister Yi! Move aside!
(this “sister” is more like how sweethearts refer to each other as “brother” and “sister” in Chinese)
{Wang Yi}

{stab~}

[ZA]: I just knew you would be the one who left the city to request reinforcement!
{Zhao Ang}

[ZA]: You fool!

[WY]: The reinforcement has retreated, so the central court might believe Liang Province is beyond help.

[WY]: If no one tells them otherwise, the people of Ji will end up…

[ZA]: If anyone should’ve gone to get help, you fool, it should’ve been me!
[ZA]: If you’re gone, what will I live for!

[WY]: Brother Ang, there are still paths through the Qinchuan region.
(it’s a region, so not sure how to translate that except directly; possibly the plains region between San Pass, Tong Pass, and the north and south mountain ranges; map in Chinese?)

[WY]: With the right guide, Xiahou’s army might still have a chance.

[ZA]: So that’s why you left the city with sir Yan Wen…
{note: Yan Wen, Liang Province’s Assistant Officer}
(not sure about rank)

[ZA]: With his clout in the city, if Sir Yan is forced to surrender,
[ZA]: do you know how big of an effect that will have on us?!

[ZA]: Head home now, I’ll go save him!

[WY]: No!

[WY]: The one who was captured is our teacher.

[ZA]: Teacher Zhao and I played the decoy so that the real Sir Yan could escape through another path!

[WY]: I know what you’re thinking, brother Ang…

[WY]: but teacher said there might be a chance to end this war if he could meet with Ma Chao!

[WY]: We’re risking it all on this move, because it’s the only way to save the people of Ji!

[WY]: It’s the only way.

[WY]: Besides… you’re the only man left in the Zhao clan.

[WY]: Don’t let your teacher down!

[Yuan Xiong]: Such a sturdy horse stance, he didn’t get pushed back at all!
(there’s also a wordplay here of “Blocking Horse/Ma[Chao] Stance”)
[YX]: Is that geezer really Yan Wen?

[?]: My king, what is Ma Chao doing?

[?]: Sir Yin, that guy is definitely not Officer Yan!
[?]: He’s more like an assassin with the way he moves!

[?]: Very powerful raw strength,

[?]: which is the only criteria for martial prowess.

[Zhao Zhen]: Meeting such a powerful man in the dusk of my life

[ZZ]: has made this trip worth it.

[ZZ]: You look so stunned,

[ZZ]: while I’m absolutely thrilled.

{huff~}

[Yang Ang]: Tell the brethren of Supreme Peace to get ready.
[?]: Yessir.

[Ma Chao]: No need, Yang Ang!

[MC]: This guy is mine!

[ZZ]: Correct. The God of War cannot lose face.

[ZZ]: You and I are now stuck together.

[?]: Huff!

{wham~}

{slide~}

[YX]: General Ma was forced back?!
[?]: How could he get pushed back by a scholar…

[MC]: This technique… Do you have a death wish?

[ZZ]: Not bad, you saw through it all.

[?]: A hero’s duel, mutual destruction with the enemy.

[Eighth]: It’s not that General Ma is hesitating,

[Eighth]: rather that man is not Yan Wen.

[Eighth]: Based on his martial arts, this is the Legend of Changshan, Zhao Zhen.

[Eighth]: Our trouble will never end if we don’t eliminate him.

[Eighth]: Teacher,

[Eighth]: I hope nothing has changed since we parted ways.
(wordplay with the first two word in the opening line, and the last two word of the second line; simplified version would be “long time no see”, but not quite the same)

As long as there are no other tasks aside from the illustration part of the job, it actually feels good to keep drawing nonstop. Too bad that kind of situation is rare.
